i`m no mma expert......and i know that jens pulver has beaten most of the top guys at the weight....

but,i see that pulver has been concentrating on boxing recently...i saw his last bout...he was losing....was gassed...and scored a lucky k.o.....

he`s 30 now....

and i know a badass when i see one...and takanori gomi is a badass......

don`t follow me....as i said,i`m no expert...but,the guy is so cool and calm.....and so damned quick....

i`ll take a shot with gomi-110...in japan...where he`s becoming an idol....

curious to hear what the hardcore guys think of emilienko/nogueira...

2 great fights...a great card...

tried to draw some mma guys out of the woodwork...the gomi/pulver fight is a great match-up......as is nogueira/emilienko.....randleman /mirko rematch is interesting...as is seeing rulon jones getting winded by mid-first round....

gomi/pulver should be a barn burner....pulver is the much more accomplished guy...has beaten better competition....but,i like gomi`s energy....he`s a hard worker...an exciting fighter...

that`s why i suggested it would be unwise to follow me here...i think most will grab pulver at -110....no quarrel from me...

trying to draw some opinions from the more knowledgable guys....

looks like mma isn`t drawing flies...

....

Pride don't get nearly as much betting attention as UFC. I guess because 1 is based in the US and the other in Japan.

....

My bets were a Yoshida scalp and Fedor. I got -200 on on Yoshida and +235 on Gardner so I win $75 if Yoshida wins or break even if Gardner wins. Fedor could lose by prides rules but he's the stronger guy who won the first fight so I took him anyways. I am not nearly as good with MMA as with boxing. Not even close lol

apparently gomi beat pulver....i was graded a winner at oly.......

i`m not asking any questions......glad the guy won....from reading a few martial arts forums, not all that many thought he`d beat pulver.....

the guy looks like a girl....but he`s tough as a leather strap..and i think he`s a naturally heavier guy than pulver...

Gomi has a chin of granite. Jens hit him with some good shots, but Gomi never took a step back. Peppered Jens around the ring, including some vicious body shots. Surprised Jens didn't at least try one take down to change the momentum, as it was clear he was wearing down and Gomi was starting to dominate the stand-up.

Silva was robbed. Pretty close fight in that Hunt did the most damage in brief sequence in the second round (when just about any other fighter, especially one 60 pounds lighter than Hunt, would have been KO'd), but otherwise, Silva controlled a majority of the fight. Hunt was even shocked by the decision.

Gardner was pretty impressive for his first fight. Just too big for Yoshida to handle.

Best finish (and one of the best submission finishes in MMA history) was Chonan with a flying kneebar/achilles lock on Anderson Silva. A must-see for anyone remotely interested in MMA.
